.22 ELR League

.22 Extreme Long Range League is performed shooing from a bench rest with a 22 LR rifle at various distances. Please see the club calendar for matches and league dates.

Rifle: .22 LR rifle with scope capable of measuring target size. Use of a bipod on the rifle is allowed. Sandbags are allowed for back rests. A spotting scope is necessary for scoring.

Course of Fire: A total of 48 rounds are shot for record with a perfect score being 80 points. Shooters will have 15 minutes to shoot three shots each at four different targets at various distances. Shooters will take turns in relays until everyone has shot all 16 targets.

Target Distance: Vary from 50 yards to 500 yards.

Target Size: One inch to twenty-six inches depending on distance. Targets are grouped by color of white, green, yellow, and orange. Shooters will draw the color of which target to shoot prior to firing.

Scoring: A points system is used for hits on targets. The first attempt on the target will earn three points, otherwise follow ups earn one point if missed. No points awarded for missing the target.

Competitors: Four people will shoot per relay. Each competitor will also have a spotter that will help.
