Established in 1929, the La Crosse Rifle Club, Inc. hosts a 600 yard rifle range and two pistol ranges. From spring through the fall, our club hosts high power rifle competitions, pistol shooting, trap, and so many other shooting activities for our members and firearm owners outside our club.
Our membership is capped at 100 members, and applications for membership must include a sponsorship of a member in good standing. Those interested in membership may attend our monthly meetings, held the first Wednesday of the month (see our calendar), at our club house.
The objectives of our club are laid out in our bylaws, which include:
- Providing and maintain a safe shooting range for our members.
- Supporting education in the safe handling of firearms.
- To encourage the lawful ownership of firearms.
- To foster the conservation of our renewable wildlife resources.
- To encourage, sponsor, and conduct shooting tournaments and matches.
- To encourage develop the characteristics of honesty, good fellowship, self discipline, team play, and self reliance.
