A report from Mike Stewart:
We had a very successful trip to Ohio at the National matches, Wisconsin Juniors finished first place in the Six-Man Junior Team Match and also first place in the Junior Two-Man Team Match. Additionally, we had 4 teams place in the top-twenty at the two-man team match. This year’s matches were extremely challenging with the strong winds that you can only experience at Camp Perry (where else do you put on 4 minutes of wind at 300 yards?). In those conditions, watching the kids clean their 2-300 yard targets through my spotting scope is both fascinating and impressive to watch, especially considering they don’t get sighting shots.
Bob Burns had a great time shooting the rattle battle match and he had some of the best scores on the Wisconsin adult team.
If you see Riley, Sam and Bob please congratulate them on their accomplishments.
Next meeting: this Wednesday, August 2nd, 8:00pm.
