The La Crosse Rifle Club will be hosting a series of NRA instructor training courses June 20-June 22. Don Larson, certified NRA Training Counselor, will be instructing these courses.
Friday, June 20, will consist of Basic Instructor Training and Basic Pistol disciplines. Participants will learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling, shooting fundamentals, range rules, pistol parts and operation, ammunition, and continued opportunities for skill development. These class will also certify individuals to teach CCW courses for WI, IL, IA, WI, FL, AZ, and many more states. Cost for the Basic Pistol and Baisc Instructor Training courses will be $325 for non club members (a discount will be given for club members and for combining courses).
Saturday, June 21, will consist of the Personal Protection in the Home discipline. The Basic Instructor Training will be a prerequisite for this course (please contact Don for how to arrange to take the BIT course on Friday if you do not have it already). Included in this course is making yourself and your home safer, legal and emotional aftermath of a self defense shooting in the home, selecting a handgun for home defense, and much more. Cost for this course for non club members will be $250 (discounts will be given for club members and for combining courses).
Sunday, June 22, will consist of the Basic Rifle discipline. The Basic Instructor Training will be a prerequisite for this course (please contact Don for how to arrange to take the BIT course on Friday if you do not have it already). Cost for this course will be $225 for non club members (a discount will be given for club members and for combining courses).

The range will be open for membership use on all three days, however the club house will be used for the Instructor Training. Each day, the range will be in use for roughly an hour later in the afternoon for the courses.
