Friends of the NRA – June 8 organizational meeting

The Friends of NRA is a non-political entity consisting of many active committees nationwide with more than twenty such committees in Wisconsin, one of which is our local Coulee Region Friends of NRA.  Historically the local committee has promoted and hosted a banquet each year, usually in October.  Most of the funds generated by the banquet events stay in the state.  Several local clubs have benefited from grants awarded by the Friends of NRA.  Holmen Rod & Gun Club and the La Crosse Rifle Club have been awarded grants in the past as well as several other clubs in our area within a hundred mile radius.

Recently the local committee has been greatly compromised by job related moves by key members and some who have encountered health problems. We are in need of more help to again promote and host a banquet this year. We are in need of more help.

There is a meeting scheduled with the Wisconsin NRA field representative (Scott Taetsch) at the La Crosse American Legion Post 52 located at 711 6th St. So. at 6:00 PM on June 8th. The purpose of the meeting is to gather new volunteers and to formalize and qualify the charter necessary to promote a fund raising banquet.  Please consider joining our ranks for this organizational meeting. Please consider attending the meeting to learn more about our mission and possibly help out.
